Family and newborn sessions, kept between you and the family
Photographs of children are the ones a family least wants to travel. Peak delivers them in a room that only the people you invite can open, and can take the address of the house out of every file.
Invite people, not a link
Invite the parents by email address. Each receives a link that signs them in as it opens the room; later visits use a short code sent to the same address, so there is no password to invent or forget.
Peak makes their account as they arrive and shows them only the rooms shared with them, never your library.
The address of the house, taken out
A newborn session at home is a set of files that each carry the GPS position of that home. Turn on Remove location and the room’s copies lose their GPS and place data without being re-encoded; your own master keeps it.
To check one file first, Peak’s free tool removes the location from a photo in your browser, without sending it anywhere.
Favourites for prints and albums
The family picks, gives 0 to 5 stars and comments, pointing at a frame with #. When they send their selection you are emailed, their picks hold as they are until you reopen them, and one click files them into your library as a collection.
Peak has no print store: the collection of picks is what you order or edit from.
The grandparents too, or not
Make the room collaborative and the whole family sees each other’s picks and comments. Keep it private and each person sees only their own, and yours.
A room has an end
Every room closes on the date you set: up to 72 hours on Free, up to 90 days on Pro. Two days before, Peak reminds whoever has not sent their selection, and for a while after it closes you can reopen it.
Questions
- Is it safe to share newborn photos online?
- With Peak, a room opens only for the people you invite by email, or for visitors who sign in with an emailed code if you share its link, and you see who came. With Remove location on, the files leave without the GPS position of the session.
- Do families need an account to see their photos?
- They need an email address. Peak makes the account as they arrive, signs them in by link or by code without a password, and shows them only the rooms shared with them.
