Feature · Rooms
Client galleries your clients will actually use
A room is a selection shared with the people in it. They look, choose and talk it over, then take home the originals — and you see what they chose without a list of file numbers in an email.
Filled from the work you already have
A room is filled from a collection, from a selection in your library, or straight from the browser. It keeps its own copy of every frame, so tidying or deleting in the library afterwards never reaches it.
Clients sign in without a password
Invite by email address and each client receives a link that signs them in as it opens the room. Later visits use a short code sent to the same address — there is no password to invent or forget.
Or open the room to anyone holding the link. They sign in the same way, so you always know who was there.
Proofing without the back-and-forth
Clients pick, give stars and comment, and point at a frame in the conversation with #. You decide whether they see each other’s choices or only their own.
The room’s activity shows who came, what they picked and the frames chosen most, and Peak emails you when somebody new arrives or writes.
When a client is done, they send their selection: you are emailed at once, their picks are held as they are until you reopen them, and one click files them into your library as a collection.
Delivery on your terms
Downloads are off, one frame at a time, or the whole room as a single zip, whatever its size. With downloads off, a client is only ever sent a 1024-pixel preview — the original never leaves storage.
Files keep their EXIF. One switch removes the GPS location from the room’s copies, without re-encoding a single pixel.
A room has an end
Every room closes on the date you set, and for a while afterwards you can reopen it.
Questions
- Do my clients need an account?
- They need an email address. Peak makes the account as they arrive, signs them in by link or code, and shows them only the rooms shared with them — never your library.
- Can clients download full-resolution files?
- Only if you allow it: downloads are off, one by one, or the whole room as one zip.
- Is the location removed from the photos?
- When you turn on Remove location. It strips GPS and place data from JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF and DNG copies without re-encoding them; HEIC files, raw files and videos are left out of such a room rather than delivered with their location.
